Chapter 775: Question and Answer Time

Qi Xia furrowed his brow, carefully examining Wei Yang's eyes before decisively shaking off his hand.

Survival is more important...?

This reason was simply too absurd.

When had he and the Wei Yang in front of him ever reached the point of looking out for each other's survival?

"Qi Xia! Believe me! Let's find a place to hide first!" Wei Yang's hoarse voice urged again. "If we don't go now, it'll be too late."

Qi Xia glanced up at the impending black storm, knowing it wasn't wise to let those black raindrops fall on his head. He had no choice but to seek shelter.

No matter how he looked at it, this thing seemed like a Tian She Shi Ke, far more dangerous than the Wei Yang before him.

The two of them reached a dilapidated building just before the black storm hit. Every time Qi Xia tried to speak, Wei Yang would raise a finger to silence him. Then, a howling wind rose outside as the black storm poured down.

Two "raindrops" pierced straight through the building's ceiling and hovered above their heads.

The city around them was in ruins, as if ravaged by fire or earthquakes, with many houses collapsed and decayed—clearly connected to these Tian She Shi Ke events.

Qi Xia frowned and looked up at the two strange raindrops, which hung motionless, neither falling nor drifting away.

Meanwhile, Wei Yang paid no attention to the black raindrops at all, his eyes fixed intently on Qi Xia's.

"What... what..." Wei Yang muttered to himself, "Your eyes... damn it... damn it..."

Qi Xia narrowed his eyes slightly. Although he had recovered some memories, he still wasn't clear on what Wei Yang was doing here.

"Don't ask questions..." Wei Yang shuddered all over, pointing a finger covered in black blood at the black dots in the sky. "It's Tian She Shi Ke... kid."

Upon hearing the words "Tian She Shi Ke," Qi Xia seemed to recall something. He looked up at the black dots and nodded—it was the hour of Si, making Tian She Shi Ke reasonable.

It seemed Tian Long was getting even more anxious.

"People who encounter Tian She Shi Ke can ask each other questions," Wei Yang said, baring his sallow teeth at Qi Xia. "If the other person can't answer, they'll get their skull pierced by this black bead. What a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... Looks like Tian She was right—you've started to change. If I don't ask you now and clear up my doubts, I might never understand your mind again."

After hearing this, Qi Xia slowly broke into a mad grin. "So, you made a deal with Tian She. No wonder you're here. Sounds like only one of us can survive—this is really interesting."

Seeing Qi Xia's smile, Wei Yang's expression froze on his face.

He had known Qi Xia for a long time but had never seen him make such an expression before. It was as if he had become a completely different person.

Qi Xia looked up at the sky and added, "You have some nerve showing up in front of me at a time like this."

"You..." Wei Yang swallowed hard at the sight of Qi Xia, unsure of what had happened to him.

Now, Qi Xia didn't seem human anymore—this was a sign of becoming a "god," but he also seemed insane.

"Tian She Shi Ke," Qi Xia nodded. "Anyone standing together during this time, if you ask 'What is this thing?' the person next to you will die. What a domineering 'moment'—Tian Long seems even more anxious than I thought."

"You know quite a bit..." Wei Yang pursed his lips. "It's only been a few days since we last met, and you've already changed this much."

Hearing that, Qi Xia's smile grew wider.

"Looks like this 'black dot' only allows one question per person, or you wouldn't be speaking so cautiously," Qi Xia said. "It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I suggest you ask your question now, or you'll regret it."

Wei Yang thought for a moment and replied, "Forget it... I won't ask."

He knew asking Qi Xia a question wasn't important, but Qi Xia's next words could cost him his life.

"I should just leave..."

Wei Yang's eyes darted around, his frenzied expression suddenly shifting as if he'd remembered something, and he started toward the door. But Qi Xia blocked his path at the building's entrance, turning the tables in an instant.

"Even 'Du Xin' requires Tian She Shi Ke to find me," Qi Xia said with interest, looking at Wei Yang. "Whether it's you or Tian She, neither of you can figure out what's in my mind... How fascinating."

"Damn it... that bastard Tian She..." Wei Yang muttered, lowering his head. "He only said I could come to you to resolve my doubts, but he didn't tell me you'd have a pair of sheep's eyes now..."

Qi Xia said nothing, just looked up at the black dot above Wei Yang's head. Even with all his questions, he couldn't speak them aloud.

For example, why was Wei Yang here?

Or how did he know Tian She Shi Ke was coming?

And what kind of deal had he made with Tian She?

"Ask away." Qi Xia said, "I'll give you this chance. Ask your question and then get out."

Before Wei Yang could even open his mouth, defeat was already written on his face. What good would it do to figure out Qi Xia's intentions now...?

He was already changing.

But on second thought, this might be the only chance to get a real answer from Qi Xia. Steel yourself, he asked, "Qi Xia, is your ultimate goal to lead everyone out?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the black raindrop above Wei Yang's head slowly moved forward until it reached Qi Xia's forehead, trembling as if ready to strike.

"No," Qi Xia answered firmly. "No one can get out of this place."

After Qi Xia's response, the black raindrop hovering at his forehead quivered slightly and then burst into dust with a "bang."

Even Qi Xia hadn't expected the crisis to be resolved so easily. And he hadn't thought that Wei Yang, who had preserved his memories here for so long, would ask such a foolish question.

But before he could say anything, Wei Yang suddenly lunged forward and grabbed his collar.

"You liar!!" Wei Yang roared. "Are you using the deception techniques you learned from me against me now?!"

"Oh?" Qi Xia raised an eyebrow slowly. "I don't understand."

"Damn it!! How long are you going to keep lying to me?!" Wei Yang's emotions were clearly out of control. "You never wanted to lead everyone out! Then what was all my effort for?! I left your team and waited every day in a hellish farm like this—what was I waiting for?!"
