Chapter 673: Dream Shattered

Di Hou heard the four words "Yang Qun Xiao Ying" and finally showed a trace of a bitter smile.

Indeed, in this game, who wasn't a "liar"?

"What a 'Yang Qun Xiao Ying'..." Di Hou's eyes darkened again, and then he looked at Qi Xia and slowly asked, "So, have you told the truth in this game at all?"

"I have, and quite a bit."

Qi Xia rubbed his forehead as he replied, and then Tian Tian came over to his side, pulling out a tissue and handing it to him. After thanking her, Qi Xia used the tissue to wipe the blood from his face.

"Now that the bet is over... I still want to ask..." Di Hou frowned and said, "Qi Xia, do you really want to get out?"

Hearing this question, Qi Xia once again looked puzzled.

"Why on earth wouldn't I want to get out...?" Qi Xia was also curious about Di Hou's words. "Is it necessary to ask this twice? If I didn't want to get out, what would I be doing standing here in front of you?"

"So, you're not lying about that." Di Hou seemed a bit relieved. "Qi Xia, you'd better not disappoint me... otherwise, I'll drag everyone down with me."

"Oh...?" Qi Xia felt his head was still dizzy and couldn't quite grasp what Di Hou meant for a moment.

"Lao Qi... Lao Qi, come here for a second."

Chen Jun Nan reached out and patted Qi Xia on the shoulder, then helped him up and led him over to sit next to Zheng Ying Xiong.

"What...?"

Chen Jun Nan had a lot he wanted to say, especially after seeing that strange Di Shu, his mind was filled with questions that were packed tight, and for a moment, he didn't know where to start. After holding it in for a while, he slowly began, "Lao Qi, I suspect... you're caught in some kind of strange vortex right now."

"Be more specific."

Chen Jun Nan organized his thoughts and continued, "Earlier, we followed your idea to egg on the 'Sheng Xiao'. Now, that matter is pretty much done, right?"

Qi Xia nodded seriously after hearing this.

"Do you think those people are reliable?" Chen Jun Nan asked again.

"What do you mean...?"

"Remember, before this game started, I told you why I came here."

"Yes, you said it was a 'Di Shu' that brought you."

"But do you know what that big rat said to me?" Chen Jun Nan lowered his voice and whispered in Qi Xia's ear, "That guy told me this Di Hou is a confidant of 'Tian Long'..."

His tone was strangely uncertain, as if he didn't know whom to believe.

But after saying that, when he looked at Qi Xia's expression, he saw no sign of surprise at all.

"Lao Qi... you already knew about this, didn't you?"

Qi Xia nodded helplessly. This matched what "Qing Long" had said.

"Qing Long" had also pulled out a map and told Qi Xia that these eight people were all confidants of "Tian Long".

Was there something wrong with the term "confidant"?

No matter how he looked at it, the Di Hou in front of them didn't seem like someone from "Tian Long". If anything, he seemed more like one of their own.

After all, when Qi Xia had mentioned "Tian Long", Di Hou hadn't reacted like the other "Sheng Xiao" by shouting or showing fear. Instead, he had immediately told Qi Xia to keep quiet.

But why did "Qing Long" and "Di Shu" have the same story?

Qi Xia had thought the information from "Qing Long" was highly confidential, yet an ordinary "Di Shu" knew it too.

Was the information about these eight people common knowledge among the "Sheng Xiao"?

"Chen Jun Nan... what do you think?" Qi Xia asked. "Do you believe these people are really 'confidants'?"

Chen Jun Nan slowly lowered his head, and the words from "Di Shu" echoed in his ears.

"Chen Jun Nan, I'm your teammate in the room."

"Lao Qi... why do you think there are eight of them...?" Chen Jun Nan lifted his head with a complicated expression, as if he had a lot more to say.

"Eight..." Qi Xia slowly narrowed his eyes.

"You think these eight people... could they be your..."

"Stop." Qi Xia interrupted, reaching out to cut him off. But Chen Jun Nan knew, based on his understanding of Qi Xia, that he had already figured out everything he was about to say.

Qi Xia's eyes flickered rapidly, as if processing this complex information.

A room where everyone survived... seven years of hiding... the eight "Sheng Xiao" wandering outside.

All the clues pointed to an unbelievable answer.

But could this answer be said out loud?

Qi Xia glanced in Di Hou's direction. Now, all the questions could only be resolved by Di Hou. He had to ask Di Hou right away, especially since there were still three "Sheng Xiao" to meet...

Every minute now was precious.

He forced himself to stand up, intending to go speak to Di Hou, but suddenly felt the world spinning.

This dizziness was stronger than ever before. His vision went completely black, and he lost all sense of balance, as if walls were closing in from all sides, and he had no idea where to turn.

In a daze, it felt like someone was reaching out to steady him, but his body still collided with something.

Then came a chorus of noisy shouts, buzzing past his ears. He could hear them speaking, but couldn't make out the words.

Qi Xia felt himself lying down, in a very comfortable spot, with every vein in his body slowly relaxing. The dizziness in his head pulled his entire body downward, sinking into an endless abyss.

The people around him quickly helped Qi Xia to the side. Zheng Ying Xiong's nosebleed had mostly stopped, and he gave up his seat on the sofa, so they laid Qi Xia down on it.

"Something's not right..." Chen Jun Nan frowned. "Someone help me get him sitting up."

"What...?" Xiao Cheng and Tian Tian nearby were confused.

"Don't waste time—just help him sit up. He said himself he can't lie down."

Chen Jun Nan hurriedly draped one of Qi Xia's arms over his neck, and Qiao Jia Jin stepped forward to assist. The two of them, one on each side, lifted Qi Xia up.

Qi Xia's head hung low, as if he were in a deep sleep.

"What's going on here...?" Chen Jun Nan touched his own head. "Lao Qi doesn't seem to have a fever..."

Qiao Jia Jin reached out and felt Qi Xia's forehead, then grabbed an old pencil from the nearby table, broke it in half, found a scrap of cloth, and carefully wrapped it around Qi Xia's little finger.

They thought it might wake him from the pain, but Qi Xia's expression remained peaceful, as if he were asleep—or worse, as if he were dead.

"This..." Xiao Cheng examined Qi Xia's face closely, then turned back to the group and asked, "Has Qi Ge always been like this, all drowsy and out of it?"

"What do you mean?"

"I want to check if he's been using drugs or something..."

"What are you talking about?" Chen Jun Nan frowned. "Have you ever seen a drug user who's that sharp? Qi Xia must just be sick..."

Xiao Cheng sighed and said, "Then... where did Qi Ge sleep last night?"
