Originally, I didn't want to make a move because there wasn't a good reason, but now it's different.
Di Zhu walked in with an arrogant expression, followed closely by the tall female Di Ma.
"So, tell me..." Di Yang asked with a cold laugh, "What was the reason for that kick just now?"
"Because you're planning to 'rebel'," Di Zhu replied with a light chuckle. "If it were just me, I couldn't be sure, but I didn't expect Di Ma to say the same thing."
"Oh...?" The expressions of the four people inside the room became somewhat unnatural.
"Lately, there's been a group of strange participants..." Di Zhu continued walking forward step by step, "They're mobilizing the 'Sheng Xiao' to rebel in multiple games... Isn't that complete treason?"
Upon hearing this, Di Yang became even more convinced that Di Hu had been right. That man named Qi Xia seemed to have truly started his actions, and there was a high probability he was Yang Ge himself. In that case, the current situation needed to be reassessed.
Seeing the unfriendly visitors, Bai Lan Gou asked with an unchanged expression, "Isn't this the overbearing Zhu Ge? Which eye of yours saw us rebelling?"
"I only need a suspicion to go on," Di Zhu said, tilting his head back to look at the tall group in front of him, then smiled. "Now, I'll round you all up and take you to Tian She so he can see for himself."
Di Hu stepped forward upon seeing this, blocking Di Zhu's path. "Dwarf, stay right there."
"What did you call me...?" Di Zhu's eyes widened instantly.
"You damn shorty, I've put up with you for so long. Think you're something just because you've been a pig for ages?" Di Hu snarled viciously. "Once Yang Ge is gone, even a short-legged pig like you can act like a king. What gives you the right?"
After hearing this, Di Yang frowned and stepped forward, standing shoulder to shoulder with Di Hu.
Now, thinking about it, the chances of Bai Lan Gou and She Xu Shu joining the fight behind them were slim, barely making it a two-on-two standoff.
But both opponents had been "Di Ji" for over several decades, with far more experience in combat and killing than their side. If a real fight broke out, the consequences would be hard to predict.
"What I hate most in my life is people calling me short..." Di Zhu bared his fangs with a ferocious look.
"Short! You're damn short!" Di Hu laughed angrily. "Back home, we have a saying: People who don't grow tall have too many schemes holding them back. Who knows how many twisted thoughts are in your head?"
Di Zhu stopped talking and leaped into the air, kicking out. Di Hu's expression changed drastically as he raised one hand to block and threw a punch with the other.
After blocking each other's attacks, the two flew backward. Di Zhu quickly steadied himself, crushing a large section of the floor in the process.
Di Hu, with a blank expression, crashed into the cabinet behind him, smashing it to pieces.
Without hesitation, the tiger and the pig charged at each other again.
Di Yang furrowed his brow and hurried to shut the door, but as he turned back to join the fight, Di Ma was already blocking his way.
"Little black sheep, you should just listen to Zhu Ge," Di Ma said with a smile, her lipstick-smeared mouth curling up. "He's already close to 'Tian Ji'. You rebels would make the perfect merit badge for his promotion. If you surrender now, maybe once he becomes 'Tian Ji', he'll let you go."
"How ridiculous," Di Yang snorted coldly. "As a 'Di Ji', you still talk with such childish logic. Even if he does become 'Tian Ji', we'd already be dead by then—what difference would it make if he lets us go?"
"I'm just giving you a way out; take it or leave it," Di Ma said with a forced smile. "Zhu Ge has already given you face by not reporting to the superiors. He's coming personally to arrest you, so don't be ungrateful."
"Ha!" Di Yang burst out laughing. "Isn't it because he has no evidence? If he falsely accuses us, he'll be the one in trouble. What nonsense are you spouting?"
Di Ma's expression gradually turned to angry embarrassment. Without another word, she lunged forward in a big stride, swinging a fist at Di Yang.
Di Yang ducked slightly to avoid the blow, then stomped down hard on a loose floorboard. The other end of the board flipped up and struck Di Ma's chin, shattering on impact.
Seeing this, Di Yang dashed forward, grabbing a few broken pieces of wood in mid-air. In the moment Di Ma was dazed, he thrust them toward her eyes.
Di Ma reacted quickly, kneeing upward and hitting Di Yang in the chest. As Di Yang flew back, he hurled the wood pieces, scratching Di Ma's face.
In a flash of exchanges, both sides sustained injuries, and the situation stalemated.
Meanwhile, Bai Lan Gou picked up a plate from the ground, grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds, and tossed them into it. He dragged a chair over to the wall, sat down, and watched the four fight while cracking seeds.
She Xu Shu moved his chair over too, and the two sat quietly munching seeds, as if watching a close-up movie.
"What do you think?" Bai Lan Gou asked. "Does this mean the plan has started or failed?"
"Isn't that obvious?" She Xu Shu smiled. "Leader, you always seem so shrewd, but now you're asking foolish questions. How bold."
"You're not foolish, so tell me—what's our position in this fight?"
"I recommend a prime 'wall grass' role for you," She Xu Shu said with a suppressed laugh. "If Pai Qian Hu and Fu Hei Yang end up beaten, we'll jump in right away and land a few kicks—even if we don't kill them, we'll make sure they're crippled for life. But if it's Dwarf-footed Zhu and Tall Ma who get beaten..."
"Is that even possible...?" Bai Lan Gou retorted. "What kind of figure is Di Zhu? Ever since Bai Yang left, he's been ruling under Di Long—who could take him down?"
"What if...?" She Xu Shu grabbed another handful of seeds. "No matter how tasty these hundreds of seeds are, there's always a bad one. Di Zhu and Di Ma might be strong, but they could still run into a tough opponent."
"So, what's your plan?"
"If Dwarf-footed Zhu and Tall Ma are the ones beaten..." She Xu Shu smiled slightly, "Then we can kill them both on the spot and pin the rebellion on them... Heh heh..."
"What...?" Bai Lan Gou narrowed his eyes at She Xu Shu, finding the idea intriguing.
"As long as we avoid Tian She, we can say whatever we want," She Xu Shu said, giving Bai Lan Gou a knowing look. "There are only so many 'Di Ji Sheng Xiao'—if the four of us who don't usually interact all claim Di Zhu rebelled, how could he turn it around?"
