Su Shan checked the "qian" held by everyone once more.
Now, only three "qian" remained that could ward off "zai e". These were "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen" in Qin Dingdong's hand, "Chun Nuan Hua Kai Ri" in Lin Geng's hand, and "Bao Yu Gun Piao Po" in Zhang Chenze's hand.
By deducing the questions from the answers, they could generally predict the upcoming "zai e".
The natural disasters that hadn't occurred yet were limited, so "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen" clearly corresponded to "flood".
"Chun Nuan Hua Kai Ri" was a bit more ambiguous. On the surface, it resembled "Yan Yang Fu Da Di", but the latter sounded even hotter.
Thus, the "zai e" it could counter should be very similar to "cold wave".
From this perspective, it was likely something like "blizzard" or "snow disaster", involving low temperatures.
Following this logic, "Bao Yu Gun Piao Po" in Zhang Chenze's hand should correspond to "drought".
Assuming the next three rounds would bring "flood", "snow disaster", and "drought" respectively, the most dangerous one appeared to be "flood".
Its effect should be similar to "sandstorm", filling a room in a certain "season" with water. This was a cumulative process, so Di Gou might use it first.
Next would be "Chun Nuan Hua Kai Ri" corresponding to "snow disaster", which combined suffocation and cold attributes. Unlike drowning, however, being buried in snow wasn't necessarily fatal for humans.
The safest was probably "drought", as its attributes of persistent water shortage and high heat would take longer to kill. With only three rounds left, using "drought" to kill someone would be quite difficult.
These three "wish qian" were in the hands of three different people, which was an ideal situation. Adding the "Si Hai Wu Xian Tian" that Su Shan could play at any time, the "Four Seasons" faction could act every round.
At this point, "Four Seasons" seemed to form a net, trapping "Nian Shou" firmly in the middle.
"The first person's 'wish' is complete. Now, the second person will 'draw qian'."
Seeing that Di Gou had no intention of using a "zai e qian", Zhang Chenze followed Su Shan's example and pressed down the floating "ping qian".
"The second person's 'wish' is complete. Now, the third person will 'draw qian'."
Su Shan slowly furrowed her brow: "You still won't use it?"
She had probably figured out Di Gou's tactic. This round, like the previous one, Di Gou would likely play two "zai e" in a row—one at the end of this round and one at the start of the next.
Sure enough, Lin Geng's turn passed directly; she also pressed down the floating "ping qian" as her "wish".
The sixth round was nearing its end, reaching Qin Dingdong's phase.
By now, Su Shan was prepared, sensing that this "zai e" would target her.
"Everyone..." Di Gou finally spoke at this moment, "This round's 'zai e' is called 'Hong He'."
To Su Shan's surprise, Di Gou still didn't use the "zai e" on her and instead targeted Qin Dingdong again.
"Damn you, you dead dog, when will this end?!" Qin Dingdong shouted angrily, her violent movements triggering another coughing fit. As she coughed, she yelled, "How many times?! Tell me, how many times?! 'Sandstorm', 'poison fog', and now 'Hong He'?! Did I owe you money? Go ahead, make it rain knives on me! I don't want to live anymore!"
Everyone could see Qin Dingdong pointing at Di Gou inside the glass house, cursing up a storm. Though they couldn't hear the words, her lip movements and expression made it clear they were nothing polite.
The next second, water began accumulating in Qin Dingdong's room.
This time, the flooding differed from previous "zai e"—the water wasn't falling from above but surging in from a pipe at the bottom. At this rate, the room would fill up in just a few minutes.
Qin Dingdong glanced at her "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen", only to see another arrow pointing left drawn on it.
She had thought this time the bad luck would hit Su Shan, so she'd kept this left-arrow "qian" in hand. But when misfortune struck, there was no escaping it.
"I'm definitely cursed by that bastard Chen Jun Nan..." Qin Dingdong picked up her "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen" and closed her eyes.
To survive, she had no choice but to try the same trick again.
"What a shame... This 'qian'... It's actually fake..."
A moment later, Qin Dingdong frowned.
She realized her "subconscious" was out of control. Though she wanted to believe this "qian" was fake, she couldn't.
How could it be fake?!
Just seconds ago, she had been ready to use this "qian" to save Su Shan, and now she had to call it fake.
Even "resonance" couldn't activate under such absurdity.
"Dead dog... Can you really not see the 'qian' in our hands?" Qin Dingdong wondered if Di Gou was operating on a higher level, planning this all along.
He deliberately left Su Shan alone—was it to shake her resolve?
If he could do that, it would be terrifying.
"Forget it... It's just 'water'." Qin Dingdong said, "Filling the room will take a few minutes. I can hold my breath for over a minute... Only two rounds left. It's worth the gamble."
Qin Dingdong decisively gifted her "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen" to Su Shan, leaving the strategy to her.
Before Su Shan could "draw qian", Di Gou's voice rang out: "The seventh round begins, and I'll act first."
Di Gou's move was as Su Shan had predicted—he was maximizing the "zai e". This time, no matter what, it should be her turn.
After all, getting a "zai e" during her phase would mean waiting for someone else to save her, and if luck turned sour, the rescue could take a whole round.
But once again, things went unexpectedly.
Di Gou still didn't target Su Shan and instead aimed this round's "zai e" at Qin Dingdong again.
"This 'zai e'—is called 'Bing Bao'."
"Ah?!" Qin Dingdong's eyes widened completely.
Di Gou was using the most aggressive strategy, ignoring all other seasons and focusing entirely on killing "Winter".
With no extra "whip crackers" on the field, killing "Winter" would secure Di Gou's unbeatable position.
In just a few seconds, accompanied by a massive mechanical sound above Qin Dingdong's head, chunks of ice began falling with a "pitter-patter".
These ice chunks hit Qin Dingdong and then dropped into the water.
"You've got your combos too, right?!" Qin Dingdong shielded her head with both hands, clearly furious. "Testing all your ideas on me, huh?!"
Su Shan knew her own cards couldn't save Qin Dingdong, so she quickly gifted "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen" to Zhang Chenze.
Zhang Chenze was already waiting by the table. As soon as the "qian" floated up, he grabbed it and placed it in the gifting slot.
Now, it was Lin Geng's turn to decide.
She had two "qian": "Chun Nuan Hua Kai Ri" and "Shui Luo Le Wu Hen".
Qin Dingdong's room had two "zai e", but Lin Geng could only use one "qian".
