Chapter 219: Going Home

Bang!!

Qiao Jia Jin began banging on the door.

The situation was truly bizarre.

He could clearly hear the voices of Qi Xia and Li Xiang Ling, yet no one came to open the door for him.

"Cheater! Kung Fu Girl!!" Qiao Jia Jin shouted, drenched in sweat. "What's going on? Open the door, quick!!"

At that moment, the people from "Mao" heard the noise and started gathering from the first floor toward the area.

They gradually surrounded Qiao Jia Jin.

Song Qi pushed through the crowd and stepped forward slowly. He recognized this tattooed man.

The man had appeared briefly earlier and managed to break the arms of six people.

What was even more frightening was that he wasn't a "Hui Xiang Zhe."

"Brother," Song Qi called out, "how about you give us your name?"

Qiao Jia Jin slowly turned his head, his eyes coldly scanning the group: "My name?"

"Yes, although we've killed many people, I'd still like to know yours."

"Bolan Jie A Jin." Qiao Jia Jin sneered. "You can call me 'Qiao Ye,' or 'Big Boss.'"

"Interesting." Song Qi glanced at the door behind Qiao Jia Jin and asked, "Is there someone inside?"

Qiao Jia Jin didn't answer and instead countered, "Why don't you all go check somewhere else? If you insist on entering this door, half of your brothers will die."

"You're right, I believe you can do it." Song Qi nodded. "But even if we all die, this mission must be completed."

"So, no room for negotiation?" Qiao Jia Jin rolled his neck. "Who's going first?"

Several men in black clothes loosened up their muscles and approached him.

Qiao Jia Jin knew what these people were capable of. He had observed them from the shadows earlier and realized that all the intruders were "Hui Xiang Zhe," and they were the combat-oriented type, like Luo Shi Yi.

Moreover, every one of them had undergone fighting training, with precise and standard moves.

"This is such a hassle..." Qiao Jia Jin felt his mind in chaos.

Why were the people in this place so unreasonable?

They could kill at the drop of a hat, something he had never seen in all his years on the streets.

He tried to summon the "Qi Ji" he had used during the day, but whether from exhaustion or mental confusion, he couldn't detect even a trace of it.

"Cheater... I guess I'll have to give it one last shot..."

Qi Xia stood frozen in place, surrounded by organs and severed fingers at his feet.

He felt as if his body weight had halved, and his consciousness was starting to blur.

But he wasn't dead yet.

He knew his heart and brain were still functioning, so he wouldn't die for the time being.

"Kill me..." Qi Xia murmured to himself. "Just do it..."

"Huh...?" Xuan Wu once again showed an extremely exaggerated expression. "Weren't you trying to kill me? How did it turn into me killing you?"

"Stop tormenting me..." Qi Xia said in despair. "I give up..."

"Don't!!" Xuan Wu shrieked, jumping to her feet. "You can't give up!"

"Please..." Qi Xia felt his consciousness fading; his entire body was in pain.

The removed organs had stopped working, and the wounds inside him were throbbing.

He knew he wouldn't survive, but he never imagined dying would be this hard.

"Qi Ge..." Li Xiang Ling stood by helplessly, not knowing what to do.

Xuan Wu's body was now covered in dense knife wounds, yet she remained lively, like a hedgehog without its spines.

"Just kill me..." Qi Xia's eyes were lifeless. "I'm so tired..."

He slowly lifted his head and saw Yu Nian An standing behind Xuan Wu.

"An..." Qi Xia slowly smiled.

He moved his incredibly light body and walked toward her step by step.

"Xia!" Yu Nian An looked at Qi Xia with concern. "What happened to you? You look exhausted. Was this job that tough?"

Qi Xia started laughing, then burst into tears.

"Yes, this job was especially tough..." he choked out. "I'm really worn out. I thought I'd never see you again... An..."

Ever since entering the "Zhong Yan Zhi Di," Qi Xia had maintained a cold demeanor throughout.

He was like a machine, constantly avoiding mistakes and carefully following the optimal path.

Every part of his program was tightly wound, always fearing a single misstep.

But now, this very person was bawling his eyes out.

"An... where are you exactly...?"

"Xia, I'm at home." Yu Nian An said worriedly. "I bought your favorite peanuts. Come home; I'm waiting for you."

"Home...?"

"Xia, shall we go home?"

"Yes..." Qi Xia sobbed. "An... take me home... take me away..."

Xuan Wu looked puzzled at what was happening behind her, not understanding what the man was doing.

But the next second, she suddenly felt the room vibrate slightly.

Li Xiang Ling also sensed something was off, as if some massive thing was stirring.

Before either of them could react, a deafening bell toll resounded through the air. The massive shockwave knocked them both to the ground, leaving only Qi Xia standing.

The room's glass vibrated violently from the bell, on the verge of shattering.

Outside, the fighters were thrown off balance by the bell, stumbling in all directions, with no one able to stay steady.

It took Li Xiang Ling a long time to get up. Seizing the moment while Xuan Wu was still immobilized, she rushed to check on Qi Xia, only to find that although he was standing there, he had stopped breathing.

Chu Tian Qiu and Yun Yao stood in front of the screen, watching the "Hui Xiang" messages flash by like a barrage, neither saying a word.

After a long while, Chu Tian Qiu finally spoke: "Yun Yao, let's make a bet."

"You're betting on whether Qi Xia will 'Hui Xiang'?"

"No." Chu Tian Qiu shook his head. "I want to bet on how many words are in Qi Xia's 'Hui Xiang.'"

"How many words...?"

"I bet on three words." Chu Tian Qiu said. "Qi Xia is absolutely one of the top figures in the 'Zhong Yan Zhi Di'... My previous deduction won't be wrong."

As soon as Chu Tian Qiu finished speaking, the entire giant bell began to shake.

A slow smile appeared on his face, but the next second, it froze.

The bell's movement was terrifyingly intense!

"Oh no..." Chu Tian Qiu grabbed Yun Yao and shouted, "Quick! Get to the car!"

The two immediately got into the car, closed all the windows, and just as Chu Tian Qiu was about to shift into reverse, the enormous bell toll erupted.

They hurriedly covered their ears, feeling the ground tremble and the car's windshield crack under the massive vibration.

Chu Tian Qiu struggled to look up at the screen and saw a line of huge text appear in the center, overshadowing all other "Hui Xiang."

But a few seconds later, a second bell toll rang out, and the massive text vanished.

Once the bell subsided, the two finally emerged from the pain.

After a moment of daze, Chu Tian Qiu asked in a trembling voice: "What the hell was that just now?"

Yun Yao's face was equally shocked.

"Yun Yao, I must be going crazy. Why did that show up on the screen?!" Chu Tian Qiu forced a ugly smile. "Good thing I brought you along. Tell me quickly, what did you see!"

Yun Yao swallowed hard; she felt like she was losing her mind too.

Just moments ago, Chu Tian Qiu had been betting on the number of words in Qi Xia's "Hui Xiang," but was that really a "Hui Xiang" on the screen?

Thankfully, both of them witnessed it together; otherwise, no one would believe that the screen, which had only displayed "Hui Xiang" for years, now showed:

"I saw the surging of 'Sheng Sheng Bu Xi'!"
