Chapter 1353: "Inviting Disaster"

The two of them looked at Chu Tianqiu and Tian Long on the steps with curious expressions, clearly wanting to help.

After exchanging a glance, they slowly climbed the stairs and observed Tian Long and Chu Tianqiu, who had their eyes closed as if lost in a wonderful dream.

The two of them seemed perfectly at ease, giving no indication of what they were doing.

Before long, Qiao Jiajin couldn't help but ask:

"Is this situation correct now?"

"I don't know... but can we even talk right now?"

The two seemed to suddenly realize something and quickly covered their mouths, retreating down the steps.

What if they said something careless and Tian Long, who was dreaming, overheard? Although they didn't fully understand "Ru Meng," they had all dreamed before and knew that real-world events and sounds could somewhat influence the content of a dream.

Qiao Jiajin and Zhang Shan were completely bewildered.

The room was completely sealed off, so where were they supposed to go next? What should they do?

Qing Long coughed up another mouthful of fresh blood, startling the two of them.

"Oh no..." Zhang Shan rushed to Qing Long's side, picked up Qiao Jiajin's clothes from the ground, rolled them into a pillow, and placed it under Qing Long's head. "This guy can't die yet..."

"Huh?" Qiao Jiajin also hurried over. "Are you seriously thinking of saving the little green one?"

"No... if he dies, Tian Long dies too." Zhang Shan frowned and said, "I just have a feeling we can't let him go now... at least not until Chu Tianqiu finishes whatever he's doing."

The two noticed Qing Long's breathing becoming more labored, as if he were on the verge of death. Whatever Chu Tianqiu was up to, they could only hope he hurried.

"Ah... sorry, little green one..." Qiao Jiajin said, "I couldn't even handle that flying knee myself, and here you are dealing with it."

"Dude, is there any move of yours that you can actually handle yourself?"

"Pretty much."

As the two hesitated, the "door" of the room suddenly began to change before their eyes. It twisted and the broken cracks mended themselves.

The two stood there stunned for a while. Qiao Jiajin, looking puzzled, stepped forward and slowly opened the door, revealing the "corridor" outside.

But things seemed different from when they had entered. The doors on both sides were battered and broken, and the floor wasn't as neat as in the "Che Tou."

"What's going on here?" Qiao Jiajin glanced left and right down the "corridor" and whispered, "This looks a bit familiar... like when we came out of the 'Mian Shi Fang Jian'..."

"I have no idea..." Zhang Shan scratched his head. "It seems like the 'corridor' is alive or something."

As they were looking around, a figure suddenly emerged from a nearby door. The person stepped into the corridor and was about to dart farther away when Zhang Shan recognized the silhouette.

"Xiao Jin?"

"Huh? Bro!" Jin Yuanxun quickly steadied himself and turned back, looking puzzled. "Bro? What are you doing here? Isn't this the exit of the 'Che Wei'?"

"Che... Che Wei?" The two were baffled by what he meant.

Jin Yuanxun didn't have time to explain further and asked, "Is Chu Ge here too?"

"Shh!" Zhang Shan raised a finger to his lips. "He's in 'Ru Meng' right now, so don't—"

Before he could finish, Qiao Jiajin sensed something was wrong. He grabbed Jin Yuanxun and yanked him inside the door. The next second, the entire corridor began shattering on a massive scale, with countless people scattering into the void.

The whole "train" seemed to be jolted by some stimulus, shaking violently.

Everyone felt that something was seriously off.

This shaking was even more intense than the earlier "Tian Ji Shi Ke."

"What the hell..." Chen Junnan gripped the doorframe, watching the corridor outside crumble bit by bit. "What in the world is happening?!"

Countless people outside couldn't make it into a room in time and plummeted into the nothingness.

He noticed that with the corridor gone, the various rooms were now visible to each other, as if they had always been close in the void.

In the nick of time, Zheng Yingxiong ran toward the door. He leaped across the cracking floorboards and dashed inside.

Chen Junnan reacted quickly, grabbing him just as he was about to fall into the abyss, pulling him into an embrace and stumbling back into the room. The two ended up tumbling to the ground.

"Holy crap?" Chen Junnan was startled. "Kid, you're way too reckless..."

"Chen Junnan!" Zheng Yingxiong shouted, "Watch out! Everything outside is collapsing!"

"Thanks for the heads-up, you little brat! I'm not blind!"

Qin Dingdong was also thrown off balance inside the room, feeling as if the entire "train" was hit by a massive earthquake.

But why would the "train" suddenly experience an earthquake?

This "rebellion" that seemed to have failed—could it really not be over?

"This is bad, Xiao Jin! Xiao Jin, go save people, and first get..." Chen Junnan turned around, but in the room, only Qin Dingdong was standing, with four people lying on the ground. "Damn it, where's Xiao Jin?"

He looked at Qin Dingdong in confusion.

"Why are you looking at me? Could I have grabbed that lightning-fast kid?" Qin Dingdong replied.

"Crap... that kid's basically Nezha on wind-fire wheels." Chen Junnan pointed at Zheng Yingxiong and said, "Don't worry, Dong Jie, let's stick with this kid for now... and take care of those four lying here first..."

Before he could finish, Chen Junnan froze.

Wait, how did it turn into four people?

Yan Zhichun, Jiang Ruoxue, Lin Geng, and who was the fourth?

"Xiao Jin couldn't be lying here, could he?!" Amid the violent shaking, Chen Junnan dragged Zheng Yingxiong over to check.

Zhang Lijuan was lying there peacefully.

"Sister!" Zheng Yingxiong said with slight relief, "I followed the 'scent' here. Good thing she's okay."

"Uh..."

Chen Junnan felt like something was off with him.

"Hang on, Dong Jie... have we always had four people sleeping in this room?"

"Uh..." Qin Dingdong also noticed something amiss. "It seems like one's extra."

"Forget it!" Chen Junnan immediately blocked the door. "Dong Jie, come help me! If these four get thrown out, we're in trouble!"

Qin Dingdong nodded quickly and rushed over to help Chen Junnan secure the door.

Just then, Zheng Yingxiong caught a whiff of an overwhelmingly strong scent. He looked up sharply toward the door.

This terrifying scent was called "Zhao Zai."

...

The violent shaking woke Han Yimo with a start.

He opened his eyes, feeling pain all over his body.

This was bizarre— he hadn't even fought today, so why was he in so much pain?

"This doesn't fit the protagonist's setup at all... Where's my big final battle...?"

He stared blankly at the ceiling, then smacked his lips.

Though he hadn't fought, he had slept well.

A few seconds later, Han Yimo snapped to full alertness.

Something wasn't right.

He remembered being in some thug's room. That group of "Ji Dao" had brought him here while he was badly injured, but they had left him midway to handle some other task.

What was happening now?

An earthquake?

And why was the room so dark?

Who turned off the lights when they left?

"Hang on... earthquake..." Han Yimo shouted in horror, "Earthquake... only the real world has earthquakes... this isn't the 'Yi Jie' at all!"

He struggled to get up, but his injuries were too severe—he couldn't move no matter how hard he tried.

"It's over... it's all over... everything's going to shatter... all of this will break apart!!"
