Chapter 1274: Mad Sheep

A loud crack echoed through the square. Tong Yi gazed toward the center, where Lao Deng had led the other Ji Dao members in a combined effort to smash the Men into pieces.

Among the fragments, the familiar yet strange black-red color was visible, leading to the other side of the Zhong Yan Zhi Di. However, none of the fragments were large enough to allow a person to pass through.

Even if Tian Niu hadn't died in the chaos, there was no way for any of the Luo Yi to reach the Zhong Yan Zhi Di now.

Hei Yang walked to the center of the square and picked up a fragment of the Men, gripping it in his hand.

Following the bloodstains on the ground, he moved through the crowd of Luo Yi as if they weren't there. Although these Luo Yi could slowly torment Tian Niu to death, he was in a hurry.

A few Luo Yi blocked his path, and he roughly shoved them aside, seemingly too exhausted to even go around.

"Tian Niu... come out, I'll give you a quick death."

"What's the point of dragging it out any longer?"

"Di Yang... can we talk?"

Tian Niu's voice drifted from all directions, making it impossible to pinpoint her location. She seemed to be moving quickly to avoid being hit by the Hui Xiang.

"There's nothing to talk about."

"I'm in a hurry. I want you dead."

"You..."

Hearing those words, Tian Niu's Xin Nian wavered for a moment, causing her to become visible for a second.

She hovered in the air, still unsure how things had deteriorated to this point.

She had only been doing her usual job, yet someone had orchestrated a full plan to kill her.

What was even more absurd was that she had delayed for so long, and no one had noticed the Huo Cang had been breached. Reinforcements never arrived.

Hei Yang seized that brief moment, hurling the iron fragment in his hand toward Tian Niu. It pierced her thigh, sending her crashing to the ground like a wounded bird.

Only then did the others realize Tian Niu's injuries were worse than they appeared. Her entire body was torn by the Luo Yi, with so much blood that the wounds were hard to distinguish.

Yan Zhi Chun signaled to Lao Sun with a glance, and Lao Sun mustered his remaining strength to summon a massive stone that fell to the ground.

All the Luo Yi stopped moving upon feeling the ground shake, not immediately attacking Tian Niu on the ground. After all, the Luo Yi had no vision, and in a melee, they could end up harming their own.

Hei Yang slowly approached Tian Niu, pulled the fragment from her thigh, and gripped it in reverse.

"Wait... just a second..."

Tian Niu clutched her thigh and let out a wail.

"I'm done fighting... I surrender... I'm under Qing Long's control. If you want to take the Luo Yi, you can do it now..."

Before she could finish, Hei Yang thrust the fragment downward toward her face. Tian Niu quickly turned her head to dodge, but he still struck her ear.

With a strange cracking sound, her ear was pinned to the ground, tearing away from her face as blood splattered everywhere.

"Ahhh!!"

Tian Niu covered her ear and screamed on the ground.

"What's your problem?! I said I surrender!!"

"Sorry..."

"I'm a sheep. I often don't understand human words."

"You lunatic...!"

Hei Yang yanked the metal fragment from the ground, flinging the ear aside, then stabbed again toward her face. Tian Niu couldn't dodge and desperately raised her hand to block it, getting her palm pierced through.

"Ah!! You bastard..."

Tian Niu realized each of Hei Yang's attacks was delivered with full force, no sign of hesitation.

"I'm a Tian Ji. Don't you have any conditions to negotiate with me? I could even switch sides, act as your inside man, join you! You don't have to do this..."

Hei Yang's face remained expressionless as he pressed down hard on the fragment.

"Even if you're not lying, talking would waste too much time... If you'd said this three minutes earlier, maybe I could've considered it."

The fragment pushed deeper, piercing through her hand and inching toward her neck.

"Wait... just wait..."

Tian Niu forced the words through gritted teeth.

"Why... why do you want me dead? We're just serving different masters. What's the grudge?"

Hei Yang twisted the fragment forty-five degrees, sending waves of pain that made Tian Niu scream.

"Look, what color is this fragment?"

"Tell me... why is the other side all blood-red?"

"Lunatic... lunatic... This is Tian Long and Qing Long's doing... What does it have to...?"

Hei Yang ignored Tian Niu's screams and pleas, using all his strength to drive the fragment into her neck.

Tian Niu coughed violently on the ground, blood gushing from her mouth like toothpaste.

This brutal killing left the surviving Ji Dao members stunned and unsure what to do. But when they regained their senses, they realized the battle was won.

Hei Yang stood there in a daze for a long time before dragging his exhausted body to his feet.

Although Tian Niu lay motionless, Hei Yang didn't look much better.

"I'm in a hurry..."

Hei Yang stared at Tian Niu's body and said.

"If you have any unfinished business, feel free to come find me in the underworld for revenge."

He bent down, pulled out the sharp fragment, and turned toward the stairs, bumping into a few more Luo Yi along the way.

"Hei Yang!"

Yan Zhi Chun hurried over to check on him, but his dark fur made it hard to see his injuries.

"The rest is up to you..."

Hei Yang waved his hand and said.

"I have something else to handle."

He limped up the stairs, leaving Yan Zhi Chun looking worried.

Jiang Ruo Xue stepped beside Yan Zhi Chun.

"Is that grumpy Sheng Xiao really okay?"

"We can't help him."

Yan Zhi Chun replied.

"Now we need to organize the Luo Yi's actions... This massive force is in our hands. It's time to end the war."

"Tsk..."

Zhou Mo walked over, puzzled.

"Do we really need to plan their movements? Just open the door and let them charge out."

"Maybe that's what most people would do..."

Yan Zhi Chun said, thinking it over.

"But Yang Ge wouldn't. He'd make the plan foolproof. After all, the Luo Yi have no sight. They can communicate through ground vibrations in the Huo Cang, but once outside, each one will be isolated."

Just then, the former Luo Yi Wang stood up and waved toward Zhou Mo from among the crowd of Luo Yi.

Zhou Mo sensed he had something to say and approached to communicate through Chuan Yin.
