Chapter 1230: Reinforcement

When Chu Tianqiu heard Qian Wu's voice, he couldn't help but turn his head. Almost simultaneously, the several "Di Ji" in front of him seized the moment he was distracted and suddenly attacked.

He felt as though he had just used a tactic to attract the opponent's attention, and in less than a minute, he himself had become distracted.

Before the thought "I was careless" could even cross his mind, a strong and powerful hand grabbed his clothes from behind and gently pulled him backward.

Chu Tianqiu felt his feet instantly leave the ground, as if he had been hit by a car and sent flying straight back. Fortunately, the sensation lasted less than half a second before Zhang Shan caught him in mid-air.

The two of them looked toward the doorway, where the tall and sturdy Qiao Jiajin was already standing in front of the several "Sheng Xiao." However, he was staring at his right hand with an expression of utter disbelief.

"Hey, tattooed kid."

Zhang Shan called from behind.

"What are you looking at?"

"I... damn..."

Qiao Jiajin muttered.

"What kind of strength is this...?"

Chu Tianqiu also felt that under such overwhelming brute force, his normal human body was like a toy in their hands.

He had once swallowed the eyeball of "Tian Xing Jian," and although he could feel immense power, he was not skilled in combat.

He wondered what kind of effects this ability would have on Qiao Jiajin.

The "Di Zhu" in front of Qiao Jiajin saw him lost in thought and kicked straight at his knee.

Driven by muscle memory, Qiao Jiajin blocked downward with his left hand, intercepting the opponent's knee, and then turned his other hand into a palm, thrusting it forcefully at the opponent's chin.

This attack was different from before, as it was accompanied by a slight cracking sound of bones.

"I... damn..."

"Sorry about that."

The apology had barely left his mouth when the "Di Zhu" collapsed to the ground.

The "Sheng Xiao" present had never seen any "participant" defeat a "Di Ji" in an instant upon contact, and for a moment, the room fell silent.

"Ah, really sorry..."

Qiao Jiajin said awkwardly.

"The force was a bit too much; I'm still not used to it..."

Chu Tianqiu watched Qiao Jiajin's actions and thought about how Zhang Shan had dealt with the "Di Niu" earlier. He felt that, under equal physical conditions, these two should be able to overcome all the "Sheng Xiao" on the "train."

Moreover, they weren't exactly on the same level of physical strength. The "Sheng Xiao" had enhanced bodies but couldn't self-heal, which meant their abilities weren't from "Tian Xing Jian."

However, the enemy had a significant numbers advantage, including the "Di Gou" and four other "Di Ji." Since Qiao Jiajin had just gained the power of "Tian Xing Jian," Chu Tianqiu was a bit worried.

"Will he be okay on his own?"

He whispered to Zhang Shan.

Zhang Shan nodded after hearing this.

"One person might be a bit much, right? I should have sent half of him."

"This..."

"Don't worry."

Zhang Shan said.

"When I have 'Tian Xing Jian,' I never worry about losing. What I worry about is when 'Tian Xing Jian' will fade away."

The other "Di Ji" thought Qiao Jiajin had just gotten lucky, perhaps carrying some ability like "brute force" that could heavily damage a "Di Ji." But against so many "Di Ji," he should be helpless.

Thinking of this, two of them stepped forward simultaneously, throwing punches from tricky angles, one from the left and one from the right. Since Qiao Jiajin was standing in the doorway with no room to dodge, their pincer attack was sure to inflict serious damage.

Qiao Jiajin looked up and felt that the changes in his body weren't just about strength. In his eyes, even the fists coming at him seemed to move slower.

He simply raised his hand lightly, blocking one of the fists from the side, then reached out and deflected it, sending that person's fist flying toward the other one's fist in mid-air.

The two fists collided fiercely in front of Qiao Jiajin. Although there was no sound of bones cracking, both individuals clearly felt intense pain and squatted down, clutching their fists.

"I... damn..."

"Does it still hurt a lot?"

Qiao Jiajin said with an awkward smile.

"I thought I went easy..."

"You..."

One of the "Sheng Xiao" slowly stood up, holding his fist, his eyes filled with rage.

"You 'participants'... are you toying with us?"

"I really didn't mean to..."

Qiao Jiajin shook his head.

"We're not enemies or anything; I just don't want to hurt you..."

In just a couple of moves, the "Sheng Xiao" in front of him had almost lost all will to fight. They felt like this "participant" was toying with them as if they were toddlers learning to walk.

This didn't make them feel treated kindly—it just made them feel insulted.

Out of resentment, the several "Sheng Xiao" tried a few more attacks, but Qiao Jiajin easily neutralized them all.

"I'm really dying of laughter..."

The distant "Di Gou" suddenly spoke up.

"You won't let me help, and you're not fighting properly yourself. Just a 'participant,' and I don't get what you're pretending to be."

The "Sheng Xiao," whose fighting spirit was about to fade, had it reignited by the "Di Gou"'s mockery.

The man in front of them was undoubtedly just a "participant." If a "participant" could unilaterally beat up "Sheng Xiao"... then what was the point of all their hard work to become "Di Ji"?

Now, the enemy had boarded the "train" and turned their living space upside down. In this situation, they couldn't even afford to admit defeat.

For all the "Sheng Xiao," the actions of these people were an "invasion."

"We can't get bogged down here..."

The slender "Di Hu" turned back to a "Ren Ji" and said,

"Quick, go notify the 'Tian Ji'..."

"Ah! Don't!"

Qiao Jiajin said.

"Can't we talk this out? I won't move against you, and you don't go notifying anyone troublesome. Let's just pretend we never met."

Qiao Jiajin's suggestion naturally couldn't convince the "Di Ji" in front of him. They stood in front of the "Ren Ji," protectively, as if ready to hold the line for a retreat.

"I... damn..."

"My negotiation skills really need work."

No sooner had he spoken than the several "Di Ji" attacked again. Qiao Jiajin increased his force slightly, landing a few straight punches that sent them retreating repeatedly.

He glanced back at the "Di Shu," who instantly understood and flashed to stand behind all the "Ren Ji," blocking their escape route.

"Everyone, you little leaders, no one leaves from here. I guarantee you won't die."

The "Di Shu" said seriously. He knew that alerting the "Tian Ji" wasn't a big problem, but it would waste a lot of time.

The dozen or so "Ren Ji" were blocked by the "Di Shu," leaving them stuck and unable to advance or retreat. They could only pin their hopes on their superiors, but could their superiors defeat that "participant"?
