Chapter 1200: The Informant

Everyone stared at the "men" behind Wei Yang, their expressions shifting from hesitation to determination.

"Let's get moving," Wei Yang said. "If you escape now, you might lose your reason again someday... Are you really okay with that? This is your best chance to fight back!!"

As he watched their expressions change, Wei Yang seized the moment and continued, "Look at this explosion— the resistance has already begun in full force. They have no idea you've regained your reason. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; we have to strike while they're unprepared!"

Under Wei Yang's relentless encouragement, right and wrong were completely flipped. Finally, someone stepped through the teleportation gate.

Once the first person acted, it triggered a domino effect, and others followed suit.

Remarkably, thousands of people began entering the "train" in an orderly fashion.

What a bizarre situation this was?

Under normal circumstances, these people wouldn't even dare to enter the "train," let alone speak out against the Sheng Xiao. But now, fueled by the joy of regaining their freedom and resentment toward their past lives, and with Wei Yang stirring the pot, these complex emotions transformed into the drive to overthrow Tian Long and Qing Long.

So... would everyone go through the "men"?

Of course not.

Cowards existed everywhere, and this group was no exception. Wei Yang glanced back and saw dozens of people gathered at the end of the line. Their faces lacked the resolve of the others; they were still hesitating. They couldn't understand why so many were choosing to enter the "men," yet they didn't dare voice any opposition.

In truth, they weren't "cowardly" or "foolish"—they were just too clever.

Why are border collies, the smartest of dogs, rarely used as police dogs? It's because they're so intelligent that they're often driven by fear of death.

Unfortunately, there was only one line.

This meant that those queuing to enter couldn't see the cowards at the back. Otherwise, they might have realized that others felt the same way and didn't want to "rebel." All they could see was the determined crowd ahead, heading into the "men."

But what did it matter?

Wei Yang grinned, knowing not only were these cowards afraid to enter, but he himself had no intention of going in.

How foolish it would be to step into the "train" and risk death at a time like this? To throw away a hard-won life based on someone else's words?

"Ah, I miss the days of scams," he mused as he watched the crowd, a nostalgic glint in his eyes.

Wei Yang always felt immense satisfaction when manipulating human nature for his own gain.

Perhaps that's why he designed the "Yang" category of games around deception.

Sheep may look friendly, grazing innocently, but they uproot the grass completely—misled by their harmless appearance, even verdant mountains can turn into barren wastelands.

With the crowd unwittingly heading to their doom, Wei Yang climbed down from the high wall.

The situation was truly ideal now. Zhu Que was dead, and all the "original residents" in the city had regained their reason. Even in the fully fallen cities, people were likely starting to wake up.

The world here was on the verge of upheaval.

Weren't the higher-ups aware of how critical things had become? Not a single Tian Ji had shown up. It seemed this game was even bigger than he'd imagined.

Someone had cut off all their intelligence channels—not just that, Wei Yang pondered the current state of affairs. Qi Xia must have not only blocked their information but also tampered with the Tian Ji's thoughts. He was betting that Tian Gou wouldn't inform on them at this juncture.

"What a talented young man—why did he have to go straight?" Wei Yang gazed into the distance. "Can you control their thoughts without even having seen those 'heavenly ones'?"

In his mind, he fantasized about the endless wealth and glory they could amass if Qi Xia joined him in scams outside.

But alas, that chance was gone forever.

Wei Yang had no plans to return to that "train."

"Qi Xia, I'm returning these 'soldiers' to you. We're even now."

Wei Yang slipped away to a spot hidden from the crowd and left the area.

No matter how many entered the "men," it would still count as a boost for Qi Xia.

Even if only a hundred made it, that would be a significant force for Qi Xia right now.

Not far away, a slender woman, draped in clothes stripped from a corpse, hid in the shadows and observed everything.

She even caught the words "Qi Xia" as Wei Yang walked away.

"Rebellion... overthrowing the rulers here..." the woman sneered contemptuously. "Looks like I've stumbled upon some explosive information..."

She slowly lifted her clothing and glanced at her chest.

There, the bloody characters "My Wangfei" were clearly etched.

"You filthy old thing..." she gritted her teeth. "How dare you do this to me..."

Her mind felt foggy.

She clearly remembered that dirty old snake carving into her with a knife, yet she hadn't fought back. Why?

It didn't matter anymore. There were plenty of powerful figures here for her to align with.

She covered her chest with her hand, hoping the next strong one wouldn't mind the scar.

"Qi Xia... you're finished..." the woman said with a twisted laugh. "I'm going to inform on you... They may not know now, but they will eventually... Ha ha..."

Her distorted face twisted into a grotesque smile, as if the other "original residents" had all returned to normal, leaving only her insane.

But how should she enter?

Rushing in now—wouldn't she be seen as an accomplice to the rebels?

"Hold on... that's not right..." the woman suddenly realized. "I'm part of the Sheng Xiao...!"

Though her mask was gone, the fact that she had worn one set her above all the rebels.

She had no idea what had happened today—traces of battles were everywhere, and the ground was littered with bodies. She ran to a distant spot, stripped some clothes from the corpses, and put them on. When she returned to the "men," the crowd was still advancing in an orderly line.

She strode forward and shoved the person at the front aside.

"Out of the way, you mutt!" she snapped.

The person stumbled and turned back. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?"

"Stop dawdling—don't you know the dead are in a hurry to reincarnate?" she scoffed. "You've got some nerve."

"What the hell..." Several nearby people glared at her, their faces full of hostility.

"Ha..." Annoyed, she pushed everyone aside and stepped to the front of the "men." "If you want to die, don't block those of us who want to live."

Amid the crowd's baffled stares, the woman calmly walked through the gate.
