Chapter 1129: Concealment

Yun Yao waved her hand to clear the smoke, walking alone through the chaos.

The thick smoke was beginning to dissipate, but Yun Yao's expression grew increasingly somber.

She couldn't see Tian Tian anywhere in the crowd.

She wasn't entirely sure which side Tian Tian was on now. After the two "Tian Ji Shi Ke" events, all the factions were in disarray. Chu Tianqiu had mentioned that Tian Tian was involved in the Di Long Game, but she had stayed behind, and her fate was unknown.

However, Yun Yao had clearly seen Zhao Yisheng and Han Yimo just moments ago. So why hadn't Tian Tian appeared?

"Silly child... where on earth are you..."

Yun Yao furrowed her brow and pressed forward. Attackers kept appearing around her, but as they approached, they would trip over their own feet, drop their weapons, or even accidentally injure their companions with a sudden twitch of their wrists.

Yun Yao walked calmly through the turmoil, her eyes scanning the crowd solely for Tian Tian's figure, completely ignoring the enemies surrounding her.

Amidst the explosions and enemies on all sides, she was the only one who remained completely unscathed.

Here, she could see Zhao Yisheng and Han Yimo, and even Zheng Yingxiong. But besides them, there didn't seem to be anyone else connected to Qi Xia.

She cautiously realized she might have come to the wrong place. If Qi Xia wasn't here, then Tian Tian was probably nowhere nearby either.

Yun Yao noticed the smoke ahead thinning out. She waved her hand again and confirmed that visibility had improved significantly.

"It seems like Zhong Zhen's 'Nong Yan'..." Yun Yao frowned and muttered, "Has he shown up too?"

She took a couple more steps forward, and in the distance, she vaguely spotted the Bai Hu. It seemed she had inadvertently wandered close to the central area despite her disorientation.

Although she possessed "Qiang Yun," it was still wise not to tempt fate by challenging the Bai Hu. Just as Yun Yao was about to retreat, she suddenly felt something was off. She looked up at the white smoke dissipating in the air and slowly widened her eyes.

Something felt strangely wrong...

Not far away, the many "Can Yu Zhe" locked in combat seemed to notice it too. They all gradually stopped fighting, their faces filled with shock as they looked toward the Bai Hu's direction.

The Bai Hu waved his hand to fend off the crowd of "Kui Lei" in front of him, finally getting his bearings as the smoke lifted.

He glanced around at the now-clearer surroundings and realized the "Kui Lei" were no longer under control, and the one who had deployed them had vanished.

Those who had been attacking him from a distance in the smoke had all retreated far away. With the smoke gone, the only one left in sight was a tall woman.

"Absurd..."

The Bai Hu suddenly raised his hand, summoning a fierce wind that scattered the remaining smoke completely.

He stared at Yun Yao for a moment and said hoarsely, "You'll do... I'll make an example out of you..."

But before he could act, he noticed that everyone around was staring up behind him, a wave of unease creeping over him.

The Bai Hu turned stiffly, slowly lifting his head to look behind him, and froze in place as if electrocuted.

The open space where the giant clock and display screen should have stood was completely empty.

There wasn't a trace of the giant clock or display screen—not even fragments.

It was as if that small plaza had never had them in the first place.

"Wha—"

The Bai Hu's lips trembled, and he felt the world spinning around him.

What on earth was happening?

Such a massive structure destroyed without leaving any debris, and he hadn't even heard a sound...

His mind was in utter chaos, with only one thought looping endlessly—

Everything was over.

"This is... too outrageous..." The Bai Hu began to tremble all over. "If those two are truly angered... all the 'Can Yu Zhe' are finished..."

Yet, no one on the plaza made a move. After the Bai Hu dispersed the smoke, they all confirmed what they were seeing.

The giant clock and display screen were gone.

The "Ji Dao Zhe" realized they might have succeeded in their mission amid the chaos, while the "Zhi Yuan Zhe" realized they had likely botched theirs in the fog.

Everyone froze, unsure what to do, leaving the plaza eerily silent.

"It's over... everything's over..." The Bai Hu muttered to himself. "I knew it was wrong when everyone came back... this was definitely wrong!!"

Now, the overcrowded plaza echoed only with the Bai Hu's roars.

"No... no..." The Bai Hu shakily lowered his head, clutching his disheveled hair. "I must be going mad... I've waited too long... I'm the one who's insane... The giant clock is still there... it's just me who's lost it..."

Yan Zhichun smoothed her hair, sensing that the situation was becoming unpredictable.

After all, she knew what team she had sent out. The ability best suited for destroying the giant clock and display screen was called "Li Xi," and theoretically, if they were destroyed, there should be fragments everywhere.

But now, there were no fragments at all—the giant clock and display screen had simply vanished into thin air.

Yan Zhichun narrowed her eyes and looked toward the giant clock's location, where Xiao Xiao, Jin Yuanxun, and Lin Geng stood. Zhao Yisheng was nowhere to be seen.

She lowered her head slowly, pondering the current state of affairs. As the "Ji Dao Wang," she had to issue commands based on the battlefield, even without any intelligence.

This decision would determine the survival of the entire "Ji Dao."

Zhao Yisheng was missing, and the giant clock had disappeared, but Xiao Xiao and Lin Geng didn't look panicked.

"No..." Yan Zhichun sharply detected something odd.

They weren't alarmed by Zhao Yisheng's disappearance, nor elated by the giant clock's vanishing. This could only mean one thing—the mission hadn't failed, but it hadn't succeeded either.

So, it was still in progress.

Disappearance...?

Yan Zhichun unconsciously mimicked Bai Yang's habit, touching her chin, and a flash of insight struck her. She felt there was one person who could tie all this together.

After all, the massive voice from the sky had just mentioned that all "Ren Ji Sheng Xiao" could leave their posts.

He had arrived; he made the giant clock disappear.

But since the disappearance was just an illusion, he must have "Yin Ni" Zhao Yisheng as well to carry out the prolonged destruction, so... they just needed a little more time.

"Indeed, every action we've taken... will create 'Yin Guo' at critical moments..." Yan Zhichun murmured.

"And 'Ye Li,'" Jiang Ruoxue whispered beside her.

"'Ye Li'..." Yan Zhichun nodded. "Our outcome is turning for the better... does that mean we're accumulating massive 'Shan Ye'?"

"According to Tong Yi's view, it's more like each of us believes we're building up 'Shan Ye'," Jiang Ruoxue replied.

Yan Zhichun took a deep breath and said to Zhou Mo behind her, "Send messages to as many survivors as possible: the mission is about to be completed. Have everyone risk their lives to attack the Bai Hu."

"'About to' be completed?" Zhou Mo was startled but quickly lowered his head and began rapidly sending the messages.
