The atmosphere inside the temple became stagnant, everyone seemed frozen. After a while, they successively began to thaw.
Yin Meng: "A character from a mythology legend, actually exists?"
Tan Wenbin: "Meng Meng, it's normal for others to say something like this, don't you think it's strange for you to sigh like that?"
Yin Meng: "When I was young, I always saw my ancestors' deeds as fairy tales. Furthermore, I haven't seen my ancestors to this day. If it weren't for Xiao Yuan ge, my grandpa wouldn't even be able to enter the Yin family ancestral grave."
Tan Wenbin: "You should have seen me in the dream last time, right? Your ancestor even actively urged you to go back and burn paper. It seems he misses you very much."
Yin Meng rolled her eyes at Tan Wenbin, then she laughed.
Lun Sheng took off his blood-stained clothes and changed into a clean set.
The seawater outside had all flowed into the ground fissure canyon. He was too lazy to run back over the bridge to shower, so he'd make do for now.
Tan Wenbin: "Or pour some drinking water to wet a handkerchief and wipe yourself? Aren't you uncomfortable from the sticking?"
Lun Sheng: "Forget it, I still need to bleed later."
Tan Wenbin picked up the blood-stained clothes Lun Sheng had taken off, touched and weighed them: "How come this blood doesn't feel as much as it looks?"
Lun Sheng: "At first, more blood flowed out. The blood that flowed later, flowed out from the *qi* gate, and was then absorbed back into my body through the *qi* gate."
Tan Wenbin swallowed: "Transfusing blood to yourself, Lun Sheng, are you still human?"
Lun Sheng lifted his arm and sniffed. During the intense fight just now, he smelled a strong killing aura on himself, very similar to the aura of the dead, but purer than the dead aura he usually saw.
Xiao Yuan had helped him suppress the seal at home before, but just now, the seal seemed to have been broken by himself, but now he couldn't smell it anymore.
Lin Shuyou took a relatively long time to thaw, and murmured:
"So, I didn't inspire the child, it was the child himself who overcame his fear and decided to take action?"
Tan Wenbin: "Without you, the child wouldn't have the courage, let alone the motivation to overcome this kind of fear. People know clearly what they are doing. He took action, proving that he decided to take a side. Wasn't it all for your sake?"
Lin Shuyou: "Thank you, Bin ge."
Yin Meng: "Tan Wenbin, your body is cool and chilly, but everything you say is like a warm wind."
Tan Wenbin: "Don't mention it, I really plan to install a floor-standing air conditioner for Li Da Ye's home in the summer."
Yin Meng: "How many?"
Tan Wenbin: "One is enough. Put it in the first-floor living room. In summer, when the air conditioner is on, everyone can lie on the floor hugging cool mats or coffins collectively."
Lin Shuyou: "We must first modify the circuit in Li Da Ye's home, otherwise it's easy to trip the switch."
Li Zhuiyuan stood quietly at the side, not disturbing his companions who were decompressing themselves.
Soon, the air conditioner topic was finished, and everyone deliberately hung a relaxed and leisurely smile on their faces.
Li Zhuiyuan glanced over, as if seeing four "new patients".
"Let's tidy this up a bit. Lun Sheng ge, set up a sacrifice."
"Okay."
Lun Sheng unfolded the foldable offering table. The offerings were all in grooves, just open the cover and eat.
Li Zhuiyuan was responsible for burning paper, and his companions offered incense one by one.
The life records on the stone tablets should be real. In that era, those people also struggled to exorcise demons and uphold justice, and they should be respected.
The young man felt that since he had pinched their corpses into puppets, he should give an explanation.
Although he did nothing wrong, the Guardian True Monarch was obviously controlled by bewitchment. The main contradiction just now was definitely solving Him, but under the conditions allowed, Li Zhuiyuan still habitually did a wrap-up.
There was no time to slowly wait for the incense in the censer to burn out. After the sacrifice was over, all the incense sticks were pulled out by Lun Sheng and eaten with compressed biscuits.
The corpses inside the eight stone statues were carefully re-arranged by Tan Wenbin and Lin Shuyou.
Corpses that had been pinched into puppets would become very thin and brittle, and might shatter with a little force.
Li Zhuiyuan looked at Lin Shuyou: "This place, submerged, should be an inheritance similar to an official general's line in history."
Lin Shuyou: "Xiao Yuan ge, is it the same lineage as ours?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "The form has changed greatly, but the essence is the same."
After all, they all used the same set of fundamental formulas.
Lin Shuyou nodded. He now somewhat understood why the child had "escaped" earlier. In the child's view, He should have personally killed a colleague from the distant past.
Thinking of this, Lin Shuyou looked at the red mark on the back of his hand again.
Li Zhuiyuan: "The Guardian True Monarch's lineage should mainly focus on refining the body. After we go back, I'll help you research this inheritance left behind by Him."
Because he didn't get a weapon, the Guardian True Monarch didn't use any proper techniques from beginning to end. Even though the child's trident broke, he still knew how to continuously condense it with techniques.
Tan Wenbin: "Ah You, why don't you also grow a pair of wings for yourself? We don't want black ones, we want pure white ones, add more feathers. Later, when one of us gets married, you'll be responsible for holding a little bow and arrow with a heart, flying around the wedding venue a few times."
Lin Shuyou: "I have no problem with that."
Mainly, the defense of that pair of wings was really shocking. If he could get them, Lin Shuyou would be willing to pay the price.
Li Zhuiyuan: "There's no need to follow the trend and make wings. You are now refining and elevating your physique, you are walking the king's path."
The most important thing was that the materials for making wings were very difficult to find. The hard wing bones quickly dissolved after the Guardian True Monarch died. This material seemed to have some spirituality.
Li Zhuiyuan: "However, there are still things left behind here that can be taken."
The young man climbed onto the altar, first dismantling the formation he had arranged, then tearing open the seals on the two stone pillars.
"Lun Sheng ge."
"Coming!"
Lun Sheng understood, jumped onto the altar, raised his shovel and smashed down.
"Bang!" "Bang."
Two stone pillars, one with a mace inside, and the other with a mace inside as well.
Tan Wenbin said puzzled: "Why did he want to store a set of things separately?"
Li Zhuiyuan grabbed a handful of the mace. It wasn't as heavy as he imagined, the middle felt hollow. The young man threw the mace to Tan Wenbin.
Tan Wenbin reached out to catch it: "So light, will it hurt people when smashed?"
Saying that, Tan Wenbin held the mace and used some force to smash the ground.
"Dong!"
It only left a tiny, almost imperceptible white mark.
"This doesn't work either. Could there be a hidden mystery?" Tan Wenbin turned the mace in his hand over and over to examine it. "Yi, I don't see anything special either. Smashing people with it doesn't feel as good as a brick."
Li Zhuiyuan threw the second mace to Tan Wenbin as well. Tan Wenbin caught it with his other hand.
In an instant, Tan Wenbin's hands were forced flat to the sides, because a strong repulsive force appeared between the two maces.
"What the heck, how do you use this thing?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Bin Bin ge, twist your wrist a little."
Tan Wenbin twisted his wrist a little. The repulsive force turned into an attractive force, and the two maces rapidly attracted each other. Fortunately, Tan Wenbin let go quickly, otherwise his arms would have been injured by them.
"Too exaggerated, even magnets don't have this fierce effect, right?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Ah You, pick it up."
Lin Shuyou bent down and picked up the two maces. After adjusting them a few times, he twisted his wrist and separated them. He tried swinging them a few times. At first, his movements were a bit awkward and slow, but gradually accelerated.
Finally, the double maces crossed, utilizing their repulsive and attractive forces to superimpose, and smashed onto the ground.
"Bang!"
A pit was smashed out, and Lin Shuyou hadn't even exerted his full force.
Ah You said excitedly: "Good stuff, Xiao Yuan ge, this is really good stuff."
Tan Wenbin looked at the white mark he had made, then looked at the pit Ah You had smashed out, and nodded: "Is this martial arts talent?"
Lin Shuyou: "Bin ge, I can teach you."
Tan Wenbin: "No, no need. I won't learn it. That guy like you could dodge bullets even before he got the oracle."
Li Zhuiyuan: "Ah You, this double mace is for you. It's just right since your trident also broke."
When Lin Shuyou heard this, he was first happy, then immediately looked at Lun Sheng: "But I feel Lun Sheng ge's strength, combined with this, can perform better."
Lun Sheng shook his head and refused: "Using this is a waste of brain."
Yin Meng stepped into the pit: "Fortunately, Xiao Yuan ge sealed these double maces in time. If that Guardian True Monarch had been holding this thing just now, and combined with His strength..."
Lun Sheng: "I would have been smashed to death."
Yin Meng: "With Xiao Yuan ge, you won't be smashed to death."
Lun Sheng: "Then I will lose something very precious."
Yin Meng: "What?"
Lun Sheng: "You won't understand."
Yin Meng: "Heh, forget it if you won't say."
Lun Sheng: "Because I also don't understand."
On the altar, Li Zhuiyuan turned around, facing the cloud wall.
Earlier, the Guardian True Monarch was just hung on the wall, surrounded by auspicious clouds, sun and moon arrangements to create an atmosphere.
After observing for a while, Li Zhuiyuan stepped back, condensed an array flag in the palm of his right hand, and lightly waved.
"Ka cha..."
The cloud wall split open to both sides, revealing a passage leading inwards.
The others successively restrained the smiles on their faces, packed up their things, and walked inside.
This was a group of buildings, not temple connected to temple. What the Guardian True Monarch guarded was indeed just a temple door.
After walking into the temple door, it was empty outside. The ground was covered with grass like hair, which at first glance looked like countless heads with dense hair were buried underneath.
Yin Meng: "This is Soul Breath Grass."
Saying that, she bent down, cut a handful with her dagger, hesitated a bit, then cut another handful, rolled them like a braid, and stuffed them into her backpack.
Tan Wenbin: "Very precious?"
Yin Meng: "Generally, only mass graves will grow this kind of grass."
Tan Wenbin: "That's not considered too rare."
Yin Meng: "Even if a mass grave has it, it will at most grow one root."
Tan Wenbin: "There's still space in my bag, I'll cut some more for you."
Saying that, Tan Wenbin actually bent down and cut a handful. It felt greasy and greasy, not only "dense with hair", but also an "oily head".
Tan Wenbin: "You say, if we cut more and go back to sell to make wigs, wouldn't we get rich?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Wei Zhengdao in 《Jianghu Strange Records》 mentioned that using this grass woven into a grass hat according to a special method, after wearing it, one can open the yin and see evil, that is a kind of 'false yin walking' state."
After Yin Meng heard this, she immediately squatted down and started cutting grass again. In the whole team, only Lun Sheng still couldn't walk the yin.
After she had cut enough, the crowd continued to advance.
As they walked, another temple appeared in front.
Yin Meng: "This one, can we go around it?"
Tan Wenbin: "Not really. The pattern here is like mosquito coils. The interval between each two circles seems very large and the space is very wide, but to enter the next circle, you must pass through a fixed node."
Yin Meng: "Then if we don't follow the rules, will there be formation restrictions?"
Tan Wenbin: "My level isn't good, I didn't see any traces of formations."
Li Zhuiyuan: "There's no formation, but if you don't follow the rules, it's easy to enter a 'vortex', like when we came in."
Yin Meng: "That's still not as good as a formation. At least you can feel it clearly."
Li Zhuiyuan gazed at the crowd and asked: "Are you ready?"
"Ready."
"Ready."
"Let's enter the temple."
Before entering this temple, everyone thought they would encounter the same situation as the previous temple door, but after entering, they discovered that it was not the case.
It could be clearly seen that this should also be a True Monarch's temple, but the central altar was empty, and the stone statues on both sides were all smashed to pieces.
This temple was almost empty.
Li Zhuiyuan: "Check a bit and see if there's a stele text."
Everyone climbed onto the platforms on both sides and searched among the stone piles. Lin Shuyou was the first to pick up a corner of the stele text and read: "Benevolent True Monarch, Chen Huaiyue, born in..."
Tan Wenbin: "Then this Benevolent True Monarch should be the owner of this temple, and the Chen family is His lineage's oracle family."
Lin Shuyou: "According to what Xiao Yuan ge just told us on the way, it should be like that."
Tan Wenbin: "The Benevolent True Monarch lives up to the name of benevolence. He didn't even guard his own temple, just letting us pass. Really kind."
Yin Meng: "Why was this place smashed, but the Guardian True Monarch's temple is relatively intact?"
Lin Shuyou: "The Guardian True Monarch was controlled by bewitchment."
Yin Meng: "Oh, right."
Tan Wenbin: "It's said that the fortress was broken from the inside, so the one guarding the door was spared."
Li Zhuiyuan agreed with Tan Wenbin's view.
The Guardian True Monarch should have guessed something before he died. His saying "I didn't guard the door well" was possibly not a statement, but a sigh containing deep meaning.
The altar wall of the Benevolent True Monarch's temple was painted with black sea waves. Originally, there should have been a small boat holding the Benevolent True Monarch's statue hanging on the wall in three dimensions, but now the damaged boat body was scattered on the altar.
Tan Wenbin and Lin Shuyou, one on each side, searched for stone pillars on both sides of the altar. Unfortunately, they didn't find any.
Lin Shuyou: "The Benevolent True Monarch has no habit of hiding weapons."
Tan Wenbin: "I suspect he went out to fight with his weapons."
"Ka cha..."
The young man on the altar had already opened the passage to the next circle.
The crowd turned back and glanced at this dilapidated temple, then followed him out.
In the next circle, three True Monarch temples appeared side by side.
These temples all had a unified characteristic, which was that before walking in, looking from the outside, it was always black and dark, and could not be probed.
Li Zhuiyuan stopped in his tracks and said: "Three choose one."
If they could choose the previous Benevolent True Monarch's temple and pass without injury, that would naturally be the best.
Tan Wenbin stretched out a finger and muttered while choosing: "One, two, buckle my shoe... The first one!"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Then let's go with the first one."
Tan Wenbin: "Xiao Yuan ge, don't be like this, I can't bear such a big responsibility."
Li Zhuiyuan: "There's no way to calculate and analyze these temples."
Tan Wenbin: "Then let Meng Meng choose one?"
Li Zhuiyuan didn't speak, and walked in proactively. Lun Sheng sped up his pace and walked in front of the young man.
The situation inside this temple was even more chaotic than the Benevolent True Monarch's temple. The accompanying stone statues were all turned into powder, and none of the ground bricks were intact. A very high-intensity fight must have erupted here, leading to not even a single stone tablet with words being found.
Li Zhuiyuan stood in front of the cloud wall, hesitated for a moment, and did not choose to open it.
Tan Wenbin proactively suggested: "Xiao Yuan ge, why don't we retreat now and explore the other two True Monarch temples together? I feel the probability and the situation here are very similar. The main thing is we don't want to miss possible clues."
Li Zhuiyuan nodded: "Okay, then let's take a bit of a risk."
The crowd retreated and went to the second True Monarch temple. They still entered defensively, but the degree of damage here was even greater than the first one. It looked like it had been burned at one point, completely black, and there was no information to be found.
After exiting the second one, they went to the third one. The situation in the third one was similar to the first one.
Tan Wenbin: "Five True Monarch temples, except for the Guardian True Monarch having people, the other four temples are all empty. Could it be that they all died?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "According to the layout, there should be twelve True Monarchs here, plus one Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva temple."
Everyone knew that the true secret was definitely hidden in the deepest place, which was the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva temple. There, should be the key position of this wave.
Li Zhuiyuan opened the cloud wall.
This time, the young man didn't hurry to walk inside, because in front of him, a one-meter-high blood river appeared.
The reason it was called a river was because it was flowing. Although the cloud wall had been opened, the blood river outside didn't surge in, as if an invisible barrier was blocking it.
Li Zhuiyuan reached out, drew some from outside, and placed it in front of his nose to smell.
It was blood, no mistake.
Li Zhuiyuan climbed onto Lun Sheng's back. Lun Sheng was the first to wade in, followed by the others.
This entire area was filled with this blood river.
Tan Wenbin: "Lun Sheng, you were right not to wipe your body."
Lun Sheng: "We'll wipe it together later."
Yin Meng: "Selling fake hair isn't as profitable as selling plasma."
Tan Wenbin: "Who knows how many blood types are mixed together here, how can you sell it?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Only one blood type."
Tan Wenbin was just surprised at how Xiao Yuan ge had also joined their jokes, when he looked up and saw a Buddha head standing in the blood water in front.
Fresh blood flowed from the Buddha head's eyes like streams, pouring into this place. It could truly be called a true Buddha weeping blood.
Tan Wenbin: "Isn't this the Buddha head of the big Buddha statue we saw when we came in?"
Earlier, when the crowd came in by boat, they almost crashed into a headless Buddha statue.
Li Zhuiyuan: "Yes."
Tan Wenbin: "Why is it here?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Go in and ask."
Tan Wenbin: "Huh?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Bin Bin ge, there's someone inside the Buddha head."
The young man heard movements inside besides the sound of blood flowing, which were murmurs.
What exactly was being said, Li Zhuiyuan couldn't hear clearly. This also meant that the other party was not human, and its voice was not transmitted in a normal way, otherwise with his hearing, he could definitely capture it.
"Then I'll go say hello."
Tan Wenbin waded through the blood and went forward.
Li Zhuiyuan: "Ah You, you go with him and protect him."
"Understood!"
Tan Wenbin climbed onto the Buddha head. The two Buddha eyes were like two waterfalls, and it was impossible to enter from there. Finally, he had no choice but to probe his head into the Buddha head's nostril.
Lin Shuyou saw this and followed Bin ge's example, drilling his body into the other nostril.
This time, their noses were completely blocked.
It wasn't dark inside. There were things emitting light, with rippling waves and flashing blood-red light.
Tan Wenbin turned his head to check, and finally saw a shadow curled up in the corner. Rustling sounds continuously came from there, as if talking to itself.
"Bodhisattva is not Bodhisattva... Bodhisattva is Bodhisattva... Bodhisattva is not Bodhisattva..."
Tan Wenbin: "Bro, want a cigarette?"
The sound stopped, and that person turned around, revealing its face.
Seeing its appearance, Tan Wenbin subconsciously swallowed. This person's face was dynamic, fresh blood continuously rolled, like melting ice cream in summer.
Tan Wenbin: "Bro, do you have any troubles? Tell me."
Lin Shuyou was a little surprised. Can communication be so simple?
"Hua la la..."
That person walked over. To be precise, it flowed over. It came below Tan Wenbin, stood in the middle of the blood pool, and said:
"Bodhisattva is not Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva is not Bodhisattva!"
Tan Wenbin: "Then who is Bodhisattva?"
"Bodhisattva is Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva is Bodhisattva!"
Lin Shuyou frowned. Why did it keep repeating these circular phrases?
Tan Wenbin suddenly said: "Wow, Bodhisattva is right behind you!"
That person immediately turned around, knelt down behind, and put his hands together:
"Ah! Bodhisattva, I have sinned, Bodhisattva, I have sinned!"
Tan Wenbin lowered his voice and asked: "What sin do you have?"
"I didn't know he wasn't Bodhisattva, otherwise I would never have helped him suppress the merit field! Bodhisattva, calm your anger, Bodhisattva, forgive my sin. It was me who recognized him wrongly, it was him who deceived me! He deceived everyone here, he deceived for a very, very long time!"
Lin Shuyou took a deep breath. This meant someone was pretending to be Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva here?
Doesn't that contradict what Xiao Yuan ge said, that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is here?
No, that's not right. How could Xiao Yuan ge say something wrong?
Tan Wenbin: "Then do you admit your sin and are willing to accept punishment?"
"I admit my sin, I admit my sin. I am willing to receive Bodhisattva's restraint and punishment here!"
Lin Shuyou frowned. This sentence seemed to mention Bodhisattva again. Was it Bodhisattva who would punish it here?
Tan Wenbin: "Does the person who pretended to be me admit his sin?"
"He, he, he..." That person suddenly stopped, was silent for a moment, then suddenly shouted loudly, "He is coming out soon, he is coming out soon!!!"
"Pa!"
Suddenly, that person's body exploded and turned into blood water. The height of the blood water inside the Buddha head instantly rose sharply, surging out madly.
The two eyes were no longer enough, this time it rolled out directly from the ears, nose, and mouth.
Lin Shuyou was always on guard against accidents, but he really didn't expect the accident to unfold in this form.
He and Tan Wenbin, like being blown out through a nose, were sprayed out from the Buddha head's nostrils.
The only thing Lin Shuyou could do was, after falling, immediately lift Bin ge up.
But just as he lifted him, Bin ge struggled free from his hand and shouted at him: "Quickly touch!"
Immediately, he drilled down again.
Lin Shuyou didn't know what Bin ge was doing down there, and also learned from him, sinking down as well, groping around randomly with both hands.
As a result, he really touched an egg-sized object. It floated to the surface. Wiping away the fresh blood on it, the pure white inside was revealed.
And in Bin ge's arms, he was holding a stack of them, all this kind of large white beads.
The two immediately waded back through the blood.
Tan Wenbin recounted the conversation inside, then took out a white bead and handed it to Xiao Yuan ge, asking: "Xiao Yuan ge, what is this?"
Li Zhuiyuan took it, rubbed it with his fingertips, and then said: "Relic."
"Relic?" Tan Wenbin lowered his head and looked at the relics in his arms. "How serious was this master's bladder stone, to burn out so many relics?"
"It should be the relics of a group of achieved high monks."
"A group?"
"They were arranged inside the Buddha head. The Buddha statue stands in the outer ring, acting as the foundation stone for establishing the field. What a grand design."
True achieved high monks are originally hard to find in the world. Those who can burn out relics of this quality are not those who burned after passing away, but those who 'actively passed away' with a sincere heart towards the supreme.
But thinking about it, if that one could use the banner of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, it would be enough to make high monks actively sacrifice themselves, regarding it as supreme glory.
Tan Wenbin: "Xiao Yuan ge, then should we take all these relics back?"
Li Zhuiyuan: "What you saw earlier inside the Buddha head was the manifestation of the collective soul thoughts of those high monks through the blood water. As for these relics, during the washing by the blood water, they have already lost their spirituality, they are just ordinary stones."
Lun Sheng reached out and took a relic, bit it, chewed a few times, then spat it out.
Tan Wenbin shrugged and threw away all the relics he had just picked up. Even Lun Sheng couldn't eat them, so they really seemed to have no value.
After going around the Buddha head, the crowd waded through the blood and continued to advance.
In front, another True Monarch temple appeared. This time, there was only one.
Moreover, a small vortex appeared in the blood water in front of the temple.
The vortex grew bigger and bigger. Although the blood water here was only one meter deep, looking at the vortex from the side, it seemed terrifyingly deep.
"Da... da... da..."
A figure slowly walked out from the depths of the blood-colored vortex.
His figure was hunched, and his body was covered in lush hair. He was in human form, yet had the appearance of a monkey.
After he walked onto the temple steps, he turned around, faced the crowd, and his gaze met Li Zhuiyuan, who was on Lun Sheng's back.
"Heh heh, the Guardian child indeed couldn't stop you all."
Li Zhuiyuan looked at him but didn't speak.
The other side tilted his head slightly and said: "What, you don't recognize who I am?"
Li Zhuiyuan of course recognized who the other side was. This was the guy who had plotted on the island, wanting to join his team, but ended up losing his wife and troops.
It seemed he was also a True Monarch here.
"Come on, enter my temple and have a cup of tea."
After saying that, he walked into the middle of the temple, and his figure disappeared.
This was the only way to continue inwards. The other side was obviously not afraid of them not going in.
"Let's go in."
The crowd silently formed a formation and walked into the temple.
As soon as they entered, everyone was shocked by the exquisite furnishings and rich ancient charm of this place.
Mainly, all the way there, except for the Guardian True Monarch's place which was relatively intact, the other True Monarch temples had almost become ruins, and here, it was almost perfectly preserved.
And in terms of style, the Guardian True Monarch temple was simply incomparable to this place.
However, on both sides of this temple, there were no accompanying stone statues, and none of them had been indented, not even a position reserved.
On the altar, there was a painting of mountains, forests, and orchards, ethereal like a fairyland, yet there was no statue of a True Monarch.
"Rest assured, my main body is not here, heh heh. Except for the Guardian child, all of our True Monarchs' main bodies are not in our respective temples, they are all in the innermost part."
Li Zhuiyuan dismounted from Lun Sheng's back. The blood water didn't submerge into the temple.
"Drink tea?" The other side extended an invitation.
"No," Li Zhuiyuan refused directly.
The other side wasn't angry, just said lightly: "Those three people on the island earlier were just things I casually brought out decades ago, not worth mentioning. Just that Guardian child, he was actually just like that, a fool. If it weren't for his diligent guarding, plus there was one position missing among the twelve True Monarchs at that time, he was just used as a placeholder to fill a vacancy."
Li Zhuiyuan didn't speak.
"What, do you think I'm deliberately trying to scare you, to bluff?" The other side pointed a finger at Lin Shuyou. "This boy should know best how terrible the power of a Yin God is, and I am just the Yin God adult he needs to worship."
Li Zhuiyuan said: "You said the Guardian True Monarch was a placeholder."
"That's right."
Li Zhuiyuan: "Then what do you count as?"
The other side's gaze turned sharp, the hair on his body stood on end, his lips flipped up and down, and his teeth ground against each other.
Li Zhuiyuan continued: "The Guardian True Monarch at least had accompanying stone statues and oracle successors. And you, you don't even need this."
"Heh, that's because this monarch looks down on those oracles."
"That's because you are not a person, just a beast. You can't possibly give birth to a group of monkeys to be your oracle monkeys, can you?"
"Ah!!"
When the other side heard this, he suddenly jumped onto the offering table, stared dead at Li Zhuiyuan, and scratched his body madly with both hands.
"You said the Guardian child was here to fill the numbers. I feel that the one who was truly used to make up the numbers should be you, this pet."
"Heh heh heh heh..." The other side let out a sinister laugh. "What good does it do you to provoke me?"
"It will be happy."
"This monarch, under Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's seat, is Li Yuan True Monarch."
"Oh, which Bodhisattva?"
"One who performs the deeds of Bodhisattva, naturally a true Bodhisattva in the human world! No matter how outsiders see him, in my heart, he is the supreme existence. If it weren't for his guidance, there would be no me later."
"Then you still betrayed him?"
Li Yuan True Monarch's fists suddenly clenched tightly, and he shouted loudly: "Who told you! The Guardian child fundamentally didn't know what was happening inside!"
Li Zhuiyuan pointed around: "All the other True Monarch temples have been destroyed, only yours is as good as new. Doesn't this explain that you fundamentally didn't resist at that time, and even helped lead the way?"
Li Yuan True Monarch laughed sinisterly: "Heh heh, who told him to be so bold, to actually dare to pretend to be Bodhisattva? How big a sin is this? He not only went crazy himself, but also hid it from all of us, deceiving everyone to go crazy together!"
Li Zhuiyuan: "Your monkey face really changes just like that."
Li Yuan True Monarch: "Put yourself in my position at that time, and you would also make the same choice I made at that time."
Li Zhuiyuan: "Then do you regret it now? You betrayed him, and you are also forever trapped here."
Li Yuan True Monarch: "As you can see, compared to the other True Monarchs, I have greater freedom."
Li Zhuiyuan: "Let me guess, this is him deliberately showing you mercy?"
Li Yuan True Monarch sighed: "That's right. He knew my betrayal was forced, so he forgave me. Although my main body is bound in the main temple with them, he still released my consciousness's freedom."
"Do you really think so?"
"Otherwise? There is a deep emotional bond between us. Do you know? I was raised by him personally."
"I don't think so."
"Oh?"
"Because only when consciousness is awake can one feel the pain of imprisonment."
